My family’s Christmas eve dinner tradition is a mix of appetizers/finger foods, with some homemade snacks and some purchased spreads. Spreads are tough in a way. They’re easy to make, but can be pretty under-appreciated and difficult to showcase as homemade. And they’re so easy to buy at the supermarket, and you can usually find something pretty high quality.

But this artichoke tapenade recipe looked good to me. And it tasted really good, too. Something above the process freshens up the canned artichoke taste.

I have almost all of the ingredients in my pantry all the time, except for the canned artichokes. So I think this would be a good thing to quickly make up for an appetizer or to spread on a sandwich.
