A lot of people struggle with what to do with leftover buttermilk. I think the best option (besides biscuits) is salad dressing. Some of the best dressings I’ve ever tasted were buttermilk based. So with my leftover buttermilk from making waffles, I picked one of the SK buttermilk dressing recipes: napa cabbage salad with buttermilk dressing.
Verdict: it was fine. I don’t think I’d make it again. Light and refreshing, and napa cabbage is a pretty affordable salad ingredient. I forgot to buy cucumber for this, and I didn’t layer the ingredients in a pretty way like SK did. So, maybe it was partly my fault. Some recipes won’t need a long blog post.
