This recipe was included in SK’s round-up of the most popular recipes of 2015. So when deciding what to make for New Year’s dinner, I thought I’d pick from this list, and also make something easy and comforting.


This recipe calls for marsala, but has an alternate version where you use dried mushrooms and red wine vinegar to create more depth of flavor. Because I had both dried mushrooms and red wine vinegar in the house, but did not have any marsala, this alternate option seems like the better one.

So this dish is delicious. But it’s so easy to make pasta, mushrooms, and cheese delicious. Good weeknight option to try to master, though.
