I’m all for calling combinations of nut/seed, cheese, and green a pesto. There’s no need to limit it to the traditional pine nut/basil/garlic/parmesean combination.┬áBut I’m not entirely sure how I feel about SK calling this paste on top of these green beans a pesto. Yes, it does have some thyme. But does that a green make?

 

All that being said, it’s one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted. I could eat this “pesto” with a spoon for all my meals, every day.
