I sometimes make an orzo pasta with kalamata olives, garlic, greens (mostly spinach), and feta to be paired with fish or shrimp. So when I saw this pasta recipe, I thought it was going to be very similar to what I usually make.
But this pasta was a whole other level of delicious. Probably because it has garlic chips (it was my first time making these), but also because of the addition of currants. I was skeptical of the currants (and it’s clear in SK’s post that she is as well), but it brought this dish to a whole other level. The combination of saltiness and sweetness was insane.
So yeah, this was one of the tastiest pasta dishes I’ve made. And eating it for the lunch the next day was also very enjoyable. It would be a good comfort dish at the end of a rough day.
